Nano Banana 2.1 reportedly ranks three places above Nano Banana 2 at half the price

Artificial Analysis says Nano Banana 2.1 ranks three places above Nano Banana 2 on its text-to-image leaderboard, while Google's price for a 1K image is half that of the older model. In its speed benchmark, the newer model takes about 16 seconds per 1K image, compared with 8.3 seconds for Nano Banana 2. It also ranks second in the site's Productivity & Knowledge Work category, which covers diagrams, infographics, charts and slides.
