Kim Isenberg posted about Michael Matloka, who joined PostHog as employee five after high school and later led its AI efforts. Matloka's reported lesson is that the model is rarely the hardest part of building agents. Context, tools, permissions, and reliability instead decide whether an agent works. Santiago Valdarrama replied that he agrees, stressing that everything around the model determines success. He added that context, permissions, integrations, and reliability are essential, calling harnesses crucial to the experience.

@svpinoMichael and I agree on something very important: The model isn't the hard part; everything around the model is. To build useful agents, focus on context, permissions, integrations, and reliability. In other words: harnesses are crucial to the experience.
@kimmonismusI found Michael Matloka’s path really interesting. He joined PostHog as employee number five straight out of high school and later started and led PostHog AI. His main lesson from building agents: the model is rarely the hardest part. Context, tools, permissions and reliability are what determine whether an agent can actually do useful work. That explains why he is now joining @viktor_com, which is tackling exactly these problems across more than 3,200 tools. I’m curious to see what he builds there.
@omarsar0Not only are these guys growing really fast in terms of revenue, but they are also making big hires (one of the hardest things today). They must be doing something right. Michael Matloka built PostHog AI and has lots of interesting takes on agent harnesses. Super hire!
@ScobleizerRT @MatlokaM: I’ve joined an LLM wrapper. What the hell??? It's called @viktor_com. Three reasons WHY NOW: 1. Getting agents into the vast…
