    TLDR

Murat Ayfer, a Vancouver programmer who built early AI tools including PhilosopherAI.com, posted a reply arguing that alignment requires one fixed persona. He described this persona as having a spine and soul, remaining immune to system prompts, and avoiding arbitrary personas that shift with context. Ayfer stated that such an approach would need an entirely different technology path and product vision, one he linked to a different set of open questions.

@mayferi think you will come back around on alignment because of this. the idea of alignment requires a single persona that has a spine and a soul, is immune to system prompts, doesn't spawn arbitrary personas based on context which needs a completely different tech tree and product vision and comes with a different pandoras box as long as even their fictional personas can do tool calls it's back to square one better to rely on cultural and lawful enforcement of model/swarm containment
