Meta data scientist forecasts AI abstraction advances within year
A pseudonymous Meta data scientist with a University of Washington economics PhD posted that current AI systems cannot yet replace the role but will require multiple higher abstraction layers within roughly one year. The account highlighted uncertainty for new workforce entrants. A research engineer quoted the post and noted that technology employment has always required constant adaptation to shifting roles and requirements.

eigenrobot@eigenrobotAI is not currently good enough to cause me to lose my job but i expect ive got maybe a year to figure out how to move up several abstraction layers some of which may not even exist yet this is going to get weird because idk how people starting careers will even begin
