I bet this distributed inference will look pretty simple — everything on the edge. That’s Apple’s play and the M silicon does great.

Combine with OS models and you’re only six months out of date (which is just fine for a ton of people) at zero marginal cost

The grid in your house can’t carry it. Two-thirds of US homes run 200A service now. That’s good, but the safe continuous draw caps at 38.4kW. Enough for maybe two H200 nodes pulling 20kW. The other third are on 100A. Worse.

Then cooling ends the conversation. You can’t add a third. A rack with just a few of these throws off 40+kW of heat, past anything room air can move. That’s why they live in liquid-cooled halls or behind rear-door heat exchangers.

It just doesn’t pencil out at homes.
