Founders Announce Nonprofit for Safe Superintelligence

Shafi Goldwasser, Adam Kalai, and Vinod Vaikuntanathan founded the Institute for Responsible Superintelligence as a nonprofit. The group posted on X that its goal is to build scientific foundations needed to make superintelligence safe by design. Its site at resi.org states the same purpose. Jonathan Frankle retweeted the announcement. Academics Patrick Shafto and Samuel Albanie replied with expressions of support.
