ChatGPT sign-in brings subscription usage to Devin and Notion

ChatGPT subscriptions can now supply model usage inside partner products, with Devin and Notion announcing integrations. Cognition’s launch post describes support for eligible ChatGPT Plus and Pro plans across Devin Cloud, Devin Desktop and Devin CLI. Notion announced that Plus and Pro subscribers can connect their plans and select a GPT model in Notion.

Devin’s integration draws from the Codex and ChatGPT Work usage already included in a subscriber’s plan, Cognition explains. Users can let Devin access the full allowance or set a lower limit in ChatGPT settings.

What Devin’s integration covers

Devin’s billing documentation adds important limits: subscription sharing is available on Devin Pro, Max and Teams, and excludes Devin Free and Enterprise accounts. ChatGPT Free accounts have no allowance to share. GPT models are eligible except for fast and priority variants.

In Devin Cloud sessions that combine multiple models, the GPT portion draws from the linked ChatGPT plan while other models continue to consume Devin quota. If the ChatGPT allowance runs out or the linked account becomes unavailable, Devin falls back to its own quota and then on-demand credits once that quota is exhausted. GPT billing returns to the ChatGPT plan when its allowance resets, according to the documentation.

To enable sharing, users link ChatGPT under Devin’s Settings > Account and turn on Use your ChatGPT plan. One toggle applies across Cloud, Desktop and CLI. On Teams, each member links an individual ChatGPT subscription; one person’s plan does not cover another member’s sessions.
