Researcher Uses Claude Opus To Visualize All Humans Ever Born
Prompts (verbatim): assume a universal veil of ignorance and you could be born as any human who has ever lived in history, what are the most likely socioeconomic conditions and locations that you would be born in, give the top 10 by percentage chance. This should be sourced. do research as needed
make a rigorous model, a cool website, put it on netify
you should do something cooler with maps and time sliders to make it interactive. also you don't need to be so weird about where the data came from "Honest about its bones: solid birth totals, reasoned regional shares with explicit uncertainty." - too dramatic I think
place and time should be earlier and maybe a bit more differentiated and vivid - it is just stats right now. can you do a real map rather than the weird drawing? Any other ways to make this better and more interesting to explore?
really good, but french guiana is coded as europe
How lucky are you to have been born when and where you are? Had Opus 4.8 in Claude Code whip up a new visualization of all humans who ever lived. In addition to being neat, it is an interesting test of combining research, code, design and stats for an AI. https://veil-of-history.netlify.app/
