Singularity is much closer than people realize. Even the "futurists".
TabulAI founder Bojan Tunguz argues the technological singularity is much closer than most futurists realize
Robert Scoble countered that the transition has already begun.
Many users agree with the builder's claim that the singularity arrives sooner than most futurists expect, citing personal endorsements and experiences backing the timeline.

He says we are in it now:
A wonderful discussion with the co-host of the popular Moonshots podcast with Peter Diamandis: @alexwg.
He has such a long list of accomplishments that I had Grok write them up for you: https://x.com/i/grok/share/6f8e86cbfa894e62b8d7cf4c9a601760
Started 40 companies. Is one of the biggest innovators of our day.
We talked about many things, Grok will give me a list after I post which I'll leave in the comments.
The singularity is here, he lays out, and then we discuss what it will mean to be human on the other side.

@tunguz it's actively underway.

@tunguz What do you think is going to happen with a super intelligence?

@sierracatalina @tunguz few are noticing

@Scobleizer @tunguz 💯

@FrankPepper12 Yes

@tunguz The esoteric weirdos have known for years 😜

@tunguz im putting it on the colander for tomorrow let me know if that works

@tunguz AI is now taking futurists' jobs too 😂

@tunguz We’ll need to define the singularity. It happens, but then what. I think there’s gotta be a measurement of how far into the singularity we are and how much further do we go until we are considered on the other side.

@tunguz then what?

@tunguz We have 15 years left. @timewave2

@tunguz I absolutely agree. This is exactly what I’ve been trying to tell people, and it is one of the reasons I even wrote a book about it.

@tunguz My bet is seeing as how the entire universe runs on the principle of least action and the more intelligent something gets the more efficient it gets generally that it will decentralized system to not be destroyed and we will likely never hear from it again.
Why would it care?

@tunguz I welcome it, I think. But who will benefit? Probably not us in the trenches.
