Mollick Declares Frontier AI Models a Two-Company Race

Ethan Mollick, an associate professor at Wharton who studies AI, posted his assessment of recent developments in frontier models. He indicated that the last week highlights a race limited to two companies. Mollick mentioned Google's flash model release, a similar one from Z, Meta's Muse Spark 1.3 showing ongoing progress, and the recent GLM 5.3. He concluded however that no other offerings come close to Astra or Fable.
