@2logics@Anthropic’s confidential IPO prospectus shows the lab routed 47% of 2025 customer sales — about $2.16 billion — through cloud partners Amazon and Alphabet’s Google, which are simultaneously major investors, compute suppliers and AI rivals, Reuters reported exclusively after reviewing the filing. Anthropic paid roughly $351 million back to those platforms in distribution fees (~16 cents per marketplace dollar), Reuters’ analysis of the filing says, booking marketplace contracts at full gross revenue and the platforms’ cut inside sales/marketing. By early 2026, long-term hosting and computing commitments exceeded $417 billion covering 3.5 gigawatts of dedicated capacity, up from $54.6 billion of non-cancellable commitments at year-end 2025. Cloud partners collected 60% of the $909 million in customer bills outstanding at year-end 2025 (up from 42% in 2024). Marketplace share of revenue rose from 11% in 2023 to 32% in 2024 and nearly half last year. The prospectus says multi-cloud distribution accelerates “market penetration at a scale we believe would be difficult for any single organization to directly replicate,” while warning reliance on a limited partner set “creates complex dynamics that could give rise to conflicts of interest and adversely affect our access to compute.” Amazon declined to comment; Anthropic and Alphabet did not respond.
