    TLDR

Marzena Karpinska posted that results must be viewed in the context they were achieved. She objects to continued citations of Pangram v1 performance from an earlier study, noting a much stronger v4 now exists. She compares the situation to judging GPT-5.5 by what GPT-3.5 could not do, adding that the older version already performed well at the time. The post stresses that technology moves forward.

@mar_kar_Every result should be viewed in the context in which it was achieved. You can't keep citing @pangram 's performanance in a study where we used v1 when there is a much better v4 now (performance that was great even then!). Technology moves forward; it's like saying GPT-5.5 can't do X because GPT-3.5 couldn't 🙃
