Modular makes full MAX source code public under a new license

Modular says the newly public MAX code includes its graph compiler, runtime and hardware backends. Its new license permits commercial products without fees or royalties but restricts distributing modified source, except through forks intended to contribute changes upstream. The company is initially accepting bug fixes and plans an alliance for hardware vendors and other partners to build on MAX.
