Qwen3.8-Max-0902 debuts at No. 1 in Code Arena: WebDev, Arena says

Arena said on September 2 that Alibaba’s Qwen3.8-Max-0902 debuted atop its Code Arena: WebDev leaderboard with 1,691 points at a blended $5 per million tokens.

According to Arena, the release pushed three models off its Pareto frontier, which tracks score-versus-price trade-offs: Claude Opus 5 (Max), with 1,688 points at $20 per million tokens; Kimi K3 (Max), with 1,674 points at $12; and Qwen3.8 (Max), with 1,669 points at $5. Those models remained Nos. 2–4 overall, Arena said.
