TLDR

The developer introduced jeff as a drop-in local replacement for jev, powered by Knowledgator's GliFormer. They praised jev's simple, composable API and claimed the local alternative delivers the same latency at lower cost, with a mild hit to accuracy.

Logan Markewich@LoganMarkewichjeff, a drop-in local replacement for jev, powered by GliFormer from @knowledgator https://github.com/logan-markewich/jeff I think one of the coolest things about @typesafeai 's jev model is it's API. It's fairly simple, composable, and has clearly sparked a lot of interesting applications. But jev itself can basically be boiled down to a classfier or an encoder, just like GliFormer. Latency is the same, cost is cheaper, and with only a mild hit in accuracy. Come check out jeff!21d
