    TLDR

Self Labs says Agent Vault gives AI agents a way to log in and make credit card payments. A user describing the launch says agents check out with placeholder tokens while real card details are handled in a secure enclave and passwords stay out of agents’ view. The user also says people can set spending caps, block sites, require approval above a chosen amount and use a kill switch.

Self@selfxyzAt Self Labs, we’ve been using agents since day one Our agentic web identity & privacy stack is already used by companies like Google Today we're launching the missing piece: Agent Vault, a secure way for agents to log in & make credit card payments Superpowers for your agents2h
Santiago@svpinoThis will let your agents use credentials without sharing them with the model. For example, you can connect Codex to the vault using MCP and give it access to placeholder credentials to log in to a website. When Codex tries to log in, Agent Vault's proxy will replace the placeholder with the real credentials. Codex will never see the password, and the agent can authenticate normally.1h
slash1s@slash1solYOUR AI AGENT CAN NOW PAY WITH YOUR CARD AND NEVER SEE THE CARD NUMBER @selfxyz just launched Agent Vault, one vault for payments and logins across every agent you use. Set it up once -> connect Grok Bot, Claude Code, Codex, Hermes or Muse -> tell the agent what to buy. The agent checks out with a placeholder token -> the real card only touches a secure enclave -> passwords get swapped in out of the agent's view. • Rules you set > Spending caps, blocked sites, approval above any amount and a kill switch. > Bank checks, one-time codes and CAPTCHAs still come to you. • Why it travels > Switch agents and your vault, limits and controls move with you. > Works at Booking(.)com, Instacart, Amtrak, Apple, eBay and hundreds more with zero merchant setup. -> first 1,000 sign-ups get Plus free at http://AgentVault.io1h

Rohan Paul@rohanpaul_aiThis is how agents should handle your card. Self Labs launched Agent Vault, a hosted browser proxy that lets agents like Claude Code, Codex and Grok Bot check out and sign in using placeholder tokens, while the proxy types your real card number or password into the site only at the moment of the fill. Because the agent never holds a credential worth stealing, a prompt-injected agent can at most spend within the caps you set.43m
