Thanks guys. /status works so far. But still hope @openai will fix it
Codex Desktop no longer shows visible context/token usage indicator? Bug or did they delete it?
@kimmonismus Infinite context

@kimmonismus It now shows in the floating sidebar and you can toggle it on or off

@kimmonismus Noticed it too — pretty sure they removed it in the latest update. Annoying for tracking token burn mid-session.

@kimmonismus New chat maybe ? Or try /status

@blueemi99 Are they working on it?

@kimmonismus i noticed the same. that indicator was one of the few things keeping me sane during long runs. without it you only realize the context is dying when Codex starts getting philosophical about a bug it created 20 minutes ago...

@_ImDaniel__ Checking out asap

@DealsForge Exactly! I want it back :(

@ECLresearch Exactly

@_ImDaniel__ /Status was the only way to make it show up

@kimmonismus bug

@kimmonismus i think so, i heard about this exact bug many times, but its still showing for me
@thsottiaux

@kimmonismus GitHub #23794 (UI regression opened 5 days ago). While it's not fixed: /status shows token usage, /statusline for a persistent footer with context stats, or check ~/.codex/sessions/ JSONL directly.

@kimmonismus Are you noticing simple tasks taking way longer than they should today or just me

@jxnlco @kimmonismus Infinite bugs

@_ImDaniel__ Huh?!
