There is an analog to Moravec's parallel that many in AI are discovering. AI becomes more incapable as it descends down the technology stack. This occurs in both software and hardware.

The most lucrative investments reside in bottlenecks at lower levels of the stack. It will take a while before AI has meaningful advantages at those levels. There's a huge gap between moving bits as compared to atoms.
