    TLDR

Afshawn Lotfi, chief space cowboy at OpenOrionOrg, posted a tweet arguing that legacy CAD talking points have aged like milk. He stated that Parasolid is more robust because it can take open source and fuzz and patch at scale for what used to take decades of hardening. Lotfi also wrote that the claim engineers don't program is outdated, noting AI can design complex parametric geometry from images and other references.

@afshawnlevery legacy CAD talking point that aged like milk - you can't do that Parasolid is more robust (can literally take open source and fuzz and patch at scale for what used to take decades of hardening) - you can't do that engineers don't program (AI can design complex parametric geometry from images and other references and all engineers have to do is tune) - you can't do that models suck at geometry (every progressive model has incrementally gotten better here and with more promising new architectures this will be solved soon) it's all cope, moving along
