BrianRoemmele's restaurant-reservation Grok Bot reportedly gains built-in calling

BrianRoemmele says he can read a live transcript, join the call from his phone or answer a question the bot cannot handle. Afterward, he says, it reports back with a transcript and puts the booking in his calendar. The Call A Restaurant Reservation template, credited to Brian, describes requesting a table across a flexible time window in one call. It says the bot can report the outcome, add a booking to a calendar or provide an .ics calendar file.

Other users describe different business calls. cybrgalaxy posted that Grok Bot calling works on desktop and described using it to check a contacts order with Pearle Vision while receiving a live transcript. Peter Yang says his bot turned down three Comcast upsells and negotiated a reduction in his internet bill from $84 to $45 a month. In Yang's account, the $45 offer required autopay and was locked for one year; he had to approve a link himself. He also says calling currently works only with U.S. phone numbers and that he participates in early-access programs. Those user accounts do not establish a general rollout, and Yang's claimed annual savings rest on the one-year offer he describes.
