The post argued that MiniMax already uses a noncommercial license and would still open-source its weights, pointing readers to an earlier X post. A second post then amplified a statement attributed to Ryan Lee of MiniMax, shared by Teknium: "At least for MiniMax, we will keep release frontier open weight Model."
