LangChain announced browser support for Managed Deep Agents on Oct. 29, 2026. Its browser-use documentation describes agents navigating websites, clicking, filling forms and inspecting the result. LangChain points to booking a restaurant reservation on a site without a public API and testing an app through its interface as possible uses. The docs recommend using a direct API when one supports the task.
Access has a qualification: LangChain’s docs say browser support was added in Managed Deep Agents SDK 0.10, and a workspace also needs access to the LangSmith browser beta. To confirm or request access, users are directed to contact LangChain support with their workspace ID.
The documented handoff gives a person control of the browser for a login, CAPTCHA or two-factor authentication. After the person clicks “Hand back,” the agent inspects the page to check whether login succeeded, then continues the task. LangChain advises entering credentials on the website rather than in chat and keeping handoff links private because anyone with a valid link can control the browser.
For developers, the docs list tools for reading a page’s accessibility tree, navigating and interacting with it, and taking screenshots. The default setting gives each conversation its own browser; an optional user setting shares cookies and logins across one authenticated person’s conversations.
