    TLDR

    Beff Jezos posted that AI safety advocates are traitors to the nation. The statement replied to Ben Awad sharing multiple sponsorship offers for anti-AI YouTube videos. Taylor Lorenz noted that AI safety organizations quietly pay creators large undisclosed sums for such content and that much of the funding traces to Effective Altruism. Other replies mentioned the Center for AI Safety and its Frame Fellowship program selecting creators to produce videos on AI risks. Dylan Patel separately claimed CCP-linked groups back some anti-AI and anti-datacenter efforts.

    @beffjezosThe AI Safetysist are traitors to the nation
    @lumpenspaceyou have heard it here first, but i guess now you can believe it too @theojaffee / @HumanLevelJen. also, youtube should demonetise a bunch of them, since the sponsorship was undeclared (cc @sebkrier)
    @eliebakouchseems like this is already happening
    @TaylorLorenzMaking anti AI content on YouTube is not only profitable bc you’ll get a zillion views on any anti AI slop, but also bc there are a litany of these sorts of “AI safety” orgs that will quietly pay you massive amounts of $$ for undisclosed propaganda
    @SemiAnalysis_Any recommendations for the incoming OpenAI team member on how to engage the Ohio community best? @TaylorLorenz
    @yacineMTBMe when the butelerin jihad starts: "honestly those tech bros have gone too far. I tried to stop them"
    @dylan522pThere's quite a bit of CCP funded anti datacenter and anti AI organizations. Just follow the money.
    @TurnerNovak@TaylorLorenz Any idea where the cash is ultimately coming from?
    @sriramk@dylan522p @beffjezos Very much so.
    @avt_imStarting to understand the picture better. A shocking degree of public opinion is downstream of someone with a lot of money deciding to put in the work to shift people’s views on a topic, and carrying this out unchallenged.
