SnapJudge debuts as a free, open AI detector for scientific writing

SnapJudge’s makers introduced the free, open detector for scientific writing, including math. They claim it flagged roughly one in three new arXiv math papers as mostly AI, versus roughly zero in early 2025, and give a 45% figure for computer science. They call it a research tool and warn that heavy AI polishing or assistance can also be flagged as AI-generated.
