Span-02 introduced as an open-weight model for deadline-based decisions

RespanAI introduced Span-02 as an open-weight decision model that takes a deadline and returns its best decision so far. The company says it gets better the longer it thinks and, with reasoning off, beats Jev at one-quarter of the price and runs at one-third the latency of decision models at its level. It also says Span-02 can give numbers and scores and process images and screens.
