I would love for the Catholic church to have something profound to say about the complex psychological and religious perspectives to be had on AI. But instead, for a piece that is ostensibly about the magnificence of humanity, he spends most of it weaseling out of issues, blaming thing that have nothing to do with tech on tech, and casting humanity as struggle-bussing throughout rather than pointing out the myriad genuinely magnificient human achievements that have led to this moment in history

It seems fully, not partially infected by the liberal international order. Intuitively I thought "this person is just pontificating wildly in all directions." And then I remembered he's a literal pontiff
