Late-interaction representations may replace raw document text in RAG tasks

A researcher says their team's paper demonstrates that representations from late-interaction retrieval models can effectively replace raw document text in retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) tasks. On October 6, the researcher said they planned to present the paper at COLM that day.
