Gemini managed agents update adds Antigravity tools, Files API and Credentials API

Google says the Files API moves data into and out of an agent’s Linux sandbox, where agents can write code, browse the web and edit files. The company says the Credentials API lets developers connect tools such as GitHub and Slack without exposing access tokens to the model, and limits requests to approved destinations.

In internal testing, Google reports 40% fewer output tokens on file changes and up to 6% higher task completion on multi-turn software engineering and research tasks. It also reports cache hit rates up to 16% higher on long conversations and research tasks.
