    TLDR

Software engineer Dax Raad described an advantage of AI agents in debugging. Humans typically identify the most obvious potential cause for a bug and test it, then repeat the process with the next idea until the problem is resolved. An AI agent instead lists every possible cause upfront. It then instruments the code accordingly and executes the program a single time. This allows the agent to determine which cause was responsible based on the results from that one run. Raad, who works on an AI coding agent called OpenCode.ai, shared the observation in a public post.

@thdxran example of this is bug fixing you typically would think of the most obvious cause and check. then repeat until you find it the agent can come up with all potential causes at once, instrument the code and execute it once to figure out which one caused it
