@markgurman Aboslutely. However, there is an important thing to say: if Apple does not resolve the issues with the EU and does not release Siri AI for iOS in Europe soon, it will lose many users.

I’m thinking through the flow of how to leverage it with my Wi-Fi Check app. I’m thinking you could add the app or shortcut to control center and then you could ask Siri AI something like why is my Wi-Fi slow. Then it would open the app, run a Wi-Fi Check and have context of what’s on the screen.
I’m thinking this integrates nicely into the “Analyze Results” feature I’m currently working on for Wi-Fi Check 3.9 where I’m training the app like a Wi-Fi Engineer to provide expert findings/recommendations.
Siri now has access to those expert findings/recommendations and becomes the conversational interface between you and your Wi-Fi network.
Something like your Wi-Fi isn’t slow, it’s your ISP or DNS, you have a ping pong client bouncing between AP, you are experiencing interference, your running old Wi-Fi 4 standard, you are configured for 20 MHz channel instead of 160.
Then Siri reads off the recommendations and allows you to have a conversation about them. Siri the recommendation is to change channel or enable 160 MHz mode, how do I do that on my eero, tplink, etc. specific router/mesh Wi-Fi product.

@markgurman I don’t know how automated they’d want to make it. I have a feeling a lot would be specific tasks or more proactive notices with options to do it.
It’s a fine line on automation that they seem to be good at so far and understand

Longer term, I’d also expect Apple to try to create its own OpenClaw competitor, delivering a system that could fully operate its software across iPhones, iPads and Macs on behalf of the user.
@markgurman I believe that's going too far and beyond what the majority of consumers would want or actually use.
@markgurman Sorry, but I just don’t think that Siri is going to perform like a Fable-class model. I guess most users aren’t gonna know the difference, so it won’t matter anyway.

@Zaug72 @markgurman The thing is a “fable class model” is mostly for coding and really good agentic work, but apples AI is good enough for that an free enough that people actually want to use it. They don’t need something like fable/mythos , the only thing they might need is “better” knowledge

I don’t know. I would envision knowledge workers have desk side compute to run 15-20 agents on to perform various tasks. Think Mac Mini. Folks already sort of chose Mac mini form factor for this. Although, like you said, it’s more advanced, technical end users today. But Apple could bring that type of thing to everyone else. That’s effectively what they are doing with Siri AI.

@markgurman I really only use AI for searching and asking general questions on whatever random topic I’m interested in. I don’t use Gen AI for anything and don’t use it to code or write papers etc. so it’s replaced perplexity for me on my device already.
@markgurman apple never needed to win ai. it needed to stop losing users because of it. good enough is exactly that bar and they cleared it
