Thore Graepel launches Metis Reasoning to pursue a different approach to AI reasoning

Thore Graepel announced Metis Reasoning and a white paper, The Age of Reasoning. He says the company wants AI systems that can test conclusions against evidence. Tech.eu reports that Metis is London-based and has a 12-person team, while co-founder Piers Ingram claims its architecture is more compute-efficient than frontier models. Tech.eu gave no timetable for a public release of the company’s first AI model.
