    TLDR

Eric Xing posted that GenBioAI is releasing what he called the world's first virtual cell, a multi-modal, multi-scale, dynamic and stateful world model of the cell. He framed the release as the first step toward an AI-driven Digital Organism. Hongyi Wang separately introduced AIDO Cell as a world model of the human cell built to simulate behavior across DNA, RNA and proteins while connecting regulatory networks with whole-cell dynamics inside one unified model. Both posts treat the model as now public.

@ericxingWe are proud to release the world's first virtual cell -- a multi-modal, multi-scale, dynamic, and stateful world model of the cell, the first step toward an AI-driven Digital Organism (AIDO).
@HongyiWang10Super proud to finally introduce AIDO Cell! 🧬 Our team has been building toward this for a long time, and today it’s public. AIDO Cell is a world model of the human cell, designed to simulate cellular behavior across DNA, RNA, and proteins, connecting regulatory networks and whole-cell dynamics within a unified model. Importantly, it maintains cellular state over time: you can intervene on a cell, observe how its state changes, and then intervene again on the cell you just changed. This opens the door to much richer, sequential in silico experimentation. Building scalable, efficient, and robust ML systems is already challenging. Doing so for multimodal, multiscale virtual-cell world models makes the systems problem substantially harder. That is exactly where my colleagues at @GenBio and I have been focusing our efforts: making AIDO Lab and AIDO Foundry faster, more scalable, and more robust for training, serving, and experimenting with biological foundation and world models. And today, we’re excited to say that both platforms are ready to welcome users from the research community and beyond. 🚀 Join the waitlist for a preview of the system, and check out our technical report: https://genbio.ai/aido-cell-simulator/
