xAI reportedly spent $20B in 2025 and revenue only grew by about 22% that year
(vs something like 200% and 900% for OpenAI and Anthropic)
Grok reached 550 million monthly active users with 1 GW of compute deployed.

Many users praised Elon Musk and SpaceX's AI compute deals and market projections in the IPO filing for their scale and vision, while others called the claims fraudulent hype.
The SpaceX team is incredible!
SpaceX is such a bad ass company. In their IPO filing, they wrote this:
• The first private company to develop and launch a liquid-fuel rocket to reach orbit (2008)
• The first private company to successfully dock a private spacecraft with the International Space Station (2012) • The first to successfully propulsively land (2015) and refly orbital-class rocket boosters (2017)
• The first to begin deploying a large-scale LEO broadband satellite constellation (2019);
• The first private company to transport astronauts to orbit, returning America's ability to fly astronauts to and from the International Space Station (2020)
• The first to manufacture consumer-grade phased-array user terminals at scale (2022); The first to deploy a large-scale LEO satellite-to-mobile constellation (2025)
• The first to build a gigawatt-scale Al training cluster and largest coherent supercomputer (2026)
• The first gigawatt-scale Megapack battery installation (2026); and
• The only company capable of building orbital AI compute at scale.
BOOM.
@TrungTPhan The thinking tools of physics are incredibly powerful and can be applied to any field
Elon crunching the cost to manufacture a rocket in a spreadsheet during a plane ride in 2002 and realizing SpaceX could do it at 1/50th the cost is the most productive use of a spreadsheet on a plane ride ever
I don't offer investment advice, but when I see that SpaceX claims that their total addressable market is the size of the *complete* US economy (with everything!) and they are saying they are now 1% SpaceX, 5% Starlink, 94% AI (???) - I sense AI washing.
SpaceX in IPO filing: "We believe we have identified the largest actionable total addressable market in human history. We estimate that our quantifiable TAM is $28.5 trillion, consisting of $370 billion in Space from space-enabled solutions; $1.6 trillion in Connectivity across $870 billion in Starlink Broadband and $740 billion in Starlink Mobile as well as additional opportunities in enterprise and government; $26.5 trillion in AI across $2.4 trillion in AI infrastructure, $760 billion in consumer subscriptions, $600 billion in digital advertising, and $22.7 trillion in enterprise applications. For illustrative purposes of sizing our addressable market opportunity, we exclude China and Russia from our global estimates."
Anthropic is paying SpaceX $1.25 billion per month for compute. Per month.
That's $15 billion a year flowing to a company whose total annual revenue is $18 billion. One AI lab is about to account for the majority of SpaceX's commercial income.
We only know this because SpaceX filed for an IPO today and had to disclose the terms. The deal was announced weeks ago with no financials attached. Source: Axios
our company, which lost money last quarter, is going to take a big slice of $28.5 trillion market that we project will exist, primarily in a field in which we have almost no current presence, which is remote from what we are best known for.
everything is going to be great.
you will accept our projections.
pay no attention to previous skepticism.

nice measure of how insane SpaceX’s claims are

@elonmusk Unbelievable photos wow thats awsome!

@elonmusk Elon is a true work a holic, creative , engineer! He’s the real #Goblon! He has to have a crew of goblin working on everything i know . @elonmusk is goated!

@elonmusk NASA's legacy tech did the heavy lifting first. SpaceX just figured out how to scale the cost.
SpaceX: “We believe we have identified the largest TAM in human history”
Well okay then.
SpaceX's IPO prospectus (S-1 filing) is now officially public!

@elonmusk Thoughts on $Trollhouse @elonmusk
If the TAM for @SpaceX's IPO is $26.5 trillion in AI, what's the right number for @AnthropicAI, @OpenAI and @Google ?

@elonmusk Behind every rocket launch is a real team bold enough to believe the impossible can become reality. ✨ SpaceX factory energy at its finest 🔥

@elonmusk So exciting and so much more to come it is a great time to be alive 🚀where Space X and Space exploration are exponentially expanding technology and innovation beyond our wildest imagination and dreams 🚀💯🚀💯

@elonmusk What SpaceX achieved in less than two decades is honestly unreal.
Most governments move slower with unlimited budgets than this team moves with pure engineering obsession.

@elonmusk

@elonmusk The mars mission will be humanity greatest achievement but a titan potential is the key to spaces between the spaces. Mars will be hard to conquer and titan well be twice the trouble . Except for the low temperature s titan gravity is 13% of earth. And the pressure is 1.5 of E
