The 'memex' dream behind a move to Notion's search and context team
A new hire says LLMs could help with the tedious work of keeping information organized.
TLDR
A recent hire on Notion's search and context team connects the move to Vannevar Bush's 'memex' vision: a personal library of linked knowledge. He argues that LLMs could help keep information organized and says his work focuses on what information AI agents receive and when. He sees that work as using AI to augment human thinking rather than replace it.
