finding a good search interface is only stage one of the agentic search problem, as Pi-Serini showed (and its OSS successor from @xuzihuan4 and the castorini folks is coming soon).
having an effective and efficient way to browse, interact with, and navigate the relevant subset returned by the first-stage searcher is the next design space to explore. as we demonstrated in the Pi-Serini paper.
RISE is a nice way to combine the strengths of both Pi-Serini and DCI from @zhuofengli96475, making search agents approach real-world search scenarios in a more practical way.

DCI is a cool and sharp knife, but use it to cut the huuuuge steak require a bit more consideration
