OpenAI releases results from its internal AI math model on GitHub

OpenAI told people it planned to post hundreds of results concerning unsolved math problems on GitHub on Oct. 6, WIRED reported, citing people familiar with the plans.

OpenAI spokesperson Lindsay McCallum gave WIRED a less specific timeline, saying the company had not set a release time. She said an internal model had resolved more than 100 long-standing open problems and that OpenAI was using recommendations from the Advisory Group on Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at the Institute for Advanced Study to guide the next release.

Mathematicians interviewed by WIRED said they wanted papers that explain the work, rather than results released only through blogs or social posts. The article did not confirm that OpenAI had published the reported GitHub release.
