Karpathy launches HackerTube, a site for videos recommended on Hacker News
HackerTube gathers 6,454 videos that Karpathy says Claude selected from 43 million Hacker News comments.

Karpathy says he built HackerTube in about two hours with Claude Code and Opus 5.5. He created a YouTube API key, set up a server and bought the domain, then had Claude deploy and secure the code. The site offers categories and filters for duration and upload date. Karpathy says it needs no login and keeps state in a local browser session.
