Oh that's too bad. 4.5 is the best model the public will ever get.

There's a reason it was so expensive through the API and only limited to Pro level. It was actually a bigger model. Everything else that we've gotten is distilled model.

The reason 4.5 was so good at writing is because it was a large model with lots of parameters trained on lots of data, not distilled from a large model trained on lots of data.

The act of distillation reduces the amount of randomness in network, resulting in a compressed representation, but without the creativity. That's why 4.5 could write and nothing else can. Cuz of that uncompressed creativity
