@francoisfleuretPeople who are deeply convinced of a version of "LLMs cannot invent stuff, they interpolate, they do not extrapolate, they cannot be creative", what is your perspective on AlphaZero?
@giffmana@francoisfleuret I'm not off this opinion but you make it too easy: it's not an LLM!
@syhw@francoisfleuret A big lookup table can beat the best humans at Go, it has to be sufficiently filled up, we know how to fill it up (AlphaZero). We don’t know how to fill up the lookup table for solving room temperature supraconductivity and cancer.@francoisfleuretPeople who are deeply convinced of a version of "LLMs cannot invent stuff, they interpolate, they do not extrapolate, they cannot be creative", what is your perspective on AlphaZero?@giffmana@francoisfleuret I'm not off this opinion but you make it too easy: it's not an LLM!@syhw@francoisfleuret A big lookup table can beat the best humans at Go, it has to be sufficiently filled up, we know how to fill it up (AlphaZero).
