Town announces $108M Series B for multiplayer AI assistants at work

Each employee gets a “Townie” that can ask other Townies questions and do work, Greze wrote, while sharing only what its person would share. Town’s company announcement gives examples: drafting a message in an executive’s style for them to send, finding a warm introduction and booking a meeting, or gathering teammates’ feedback on a draft before a presentation.

Town argues that these exchanges build shared knowledge of how a company operates. It says customers can take that context with them if they leave Town, and that none of their context is used to train a model by default.
