@samswoora Don't worry. We're going to bring them back. provisionally at least to see if they want to stick around or not

@samswoora unless these are already the ancestor simulations, in which case they had already chosen (probably wisely) to duck out before the hard part

@samswoora Could be we got to bring them back after the singularity, or the singularity goes so poorly that we become jealous of them.

@samswoora The deaths that came right before escape velocity definitely hit harder

@samswoora @tszzl Why mourn them? They are alive now in the future, someone brought them back to life. They saw a blank screen of death for a split second and they are revived back in 2100s. So they're living life rn and we're stuck in the present

@samswoora There is a transcendental object/being at the end of time that transcends time and space. Being dead doesn't mean they cant still be saved.

@samswoora @tszzl Once the ROI of keeping alive is too low, death become inevitable.

And there's no singularity, physical reality is an infinite game, there's no ending of it.

@samswoora @tszzl I used to believe that death and taxes are the only guarantees in life, for the past few years I've been more leaning towards the idea that death is either temporary or something else. Taxes can also be avoided... but VAT is still a tax, for now. Those 2 guarantees are antiquated

@samswoora They mourn our potential, hubristic downfall.

@samswoora You think the people in control will allow the useless eaters to live forever? Think again.
