People outside of AI don't freak out quite enough in response to new system cards because, even if they do read them, there is a lot of unstated context missing...

For example, here is some context on one paragraph in the executive summary of today's Fable/Mythos card.

(this is not a criticism of the system card, which is not primarily intended for a mass audience - it's 300 pages long. And Anthropic has gotten better about having clear/concise, if still expert-oriented, executive summaries. Just noting the situation)

@Miles_Brundage Usually nobody reads 300 pages. The exec summary is what gets pasted into the procurement memo and sent up the approval chain.
