Researchers dispute Reflection AI's positioning as America's open source AI lab citing its empty model repository with zero public releases
Repository shows no models datasets or code after years of operation.
Glad Nathan said it, and I'll go further. Raising on the promise of training models, shipping nothing public across a couple of years (not even an API), and continuing to raise off "mystery" is disingenuous; in EV it poisons the well for every new lab.
@reflection_ai i want y'all to succeed but it's a little self-serving to say "America's open source AI lab" having released nothing
@cwolferesearch @natolambert @reflection_ai Come on man. You can think of one more 😉
@natolambert @reflection_ai I'm with nathan on this one - really hoping to see more from reflection in the future, but this title currently belongs to Ai2, nvidia, etc.
“our open models”

@natolambert @reflection_ai Can Puffer claim that title if it is open?
