@emollick I found it hard to get it to behave. Like when I make a closed question i want just yes or no, when i make a statement i just want it to grunt an acknoweldgement, and when I ask an open question, i want it to answer broadly. Getting it dialed in is hard.
@emollick I used it to discuss philosophy, practice for a speaking exam (it counted time, critiqued my way of speaking and cross examined me). Its incredible and its what i imagined it will be like when it launched.
@emollick i used it today to fix my monitor stand setup and it walked me through the whole thing like a friend on a call, the voice is genuinely scary good.
@emollick I use it for learning German. Finally, a model that really does this well
@emollick I really loved the gpt 4 voice model before they lobotomized it.
@emollick Chatgpt voice is better than most other models
ChatGPT Voice is a real advance. We’ve always had to contort ourselves to our computers. Now feels like we’re entering a new era of a natural interface. Expect that we’ll soon spend much less time staring at screens, and regard today’s apps as painfully user-unfriendly. https://twitter.com/emollick/status/2075580436424573127
The new ChatGPT voice is quite impressive to use, really worth a minute to try it out on your phone. (while staying aware that the voice model is not going to be as smart as a full thinking model)
