Let’s all take a deep breath, put politics and tribalism aside, and not overreact t @DarioAmodei’s effervescent blog posts

What we can all agree on is that:

A) these recent models are extremely powerful

B) we need to be thoughtful about releasing them*

Through that lens the public and private marketplace is doing a solid job of managing the situation, no?

@steph_palazzolo Amazon is not only a big investor in Anthropic, but no one has done more for Trainium chips than Anthropic either. Surprised to read this. I know they have put more money into OAI than Ant now, but still shocked to see Jassy not handle this with Dario directly before Commerce

Andy Jassy was clue less about AI and incoming wave in 2020 when I worked for him and constantly made him aware of the things I was accomplishing in AI and now @ajassy just wants to sabotage other tech businesses because his ego gets hurt similar to how he would lose tennis matches and break his racket during competition because he sucked back then too
