    TLDR

Gamma launched Gamma 5 on Oct. 6, saying it rebuilt its presentation platform to produce less generic-looking work and better follow a team’s brand. The overhaul covers its agent, design tools, editing, imports, exports and connectors, and extends to documents, social assets and graphics. One early user said the updated decks better matched his vision and brand style.

A push for more visual variety

Gamma says the new version is designed to create presentations that better match a team’s existing brand or take on a new visual direction. The company also extended that design work to documents, social assets and graphics.

The overhaul reaches beyond presentation styling. Lee said Gamma revamped its agent, design tools, editing, imports, exports and connectors. He also said the product uses frontier and image models, though the announcement did not identify the models or provide comparative results.

An early user described the updated decks as better reflecting his vision and brand style. That is a firsthand assessment, not an independent test of the product’s broader performance.

Grant Lee@thisisgrantleeEveryone is sick of generic AI, including us. Gamma was the first AI presentation platform to reach real scale. But now that AI tools are everywhere, everything looks the same. Earlier this summer, we came to an uncomfortable conclusion: without a step change in visual variety, Gamma’s output would look and feel too similar to all the other AI tools. The entire point of a presentation is to help someone "get" your idea, to see it as unique and do something with it. We started over. Today we're shipping Gamma 5, the biggest product overhaul in our company's history. We rebuilt Gamma to create presentations that actually look like you and your brand. Your teams can design anything they dream up, following your brand's aesthetic or something entirely new, with every frontier and image model under the hood. And the same goes for your docs, social assets, and graphics. We revamped our agent, design tools, editing, import, export, connectors, and more. Get your ideas out there.3h
🚨 AI News | TestingCatalog@testingcatalogGamma has launched Gamma 5, a major update that puts an agent at the center of how the platform plans, designs, and edits presentations. > The agent can ask about the goal and audience, then show its plan before it builds. > Users can import PowerPoint files and export with formatting intact. > Notion, Slack, and HubSpot connectors can gather context into each deck. PowerPoint files can now be imported into Gamma 5, reworked by the agent, and restyled in place with design styles applied to finished decks while keeping the original content. Older decks remain saved, and you can access Gamma Classic anytime. @GammaApp2h

elvis@omarsar0I can usually tell when a deck was made with AI. Generating slides with AI is easy now. They are just missing that personal touch. Gamma 5 from @GammaApp was rebuilt to address this. It's really good; the slide decks now feel like my own, with my vision, and closely follow my brand style.2h
