    TLDR

Jamin Ball of Altimeter Capital posted excitement about Attestable leaving stealth. He stated the firm co-led the seed round alongside TLV Partners. Yo Shavit of OpenAI called the work on verifiable inference one of the most significant technical verification results. Stella Biderman of EleutherAI asked how carefully the results had been examined. Andrew Trask of DeepMind noted potential hybrids with ZK in chips and challenges rewriting low-level kernels in frameworks. Ball described two trends of more consequential AI decisions alongside rising risk.

@Yogi_BrnThe world has identified verifiable AI as a missing civilization-scale primitive. The core technical obstacle, practical zero-knowledge proofs, was considered impossible. We solved it. Today, we are launching @attestablecom, the AI Integrity Company, and announcing a $20M seed round led by @jaminball at @AltimeterCap and @YonatanMandelba at @TLV_Partners , with participation from @HalcyonFutures, Cerca Partners, @Weiner_Lia at Netz, @nickymontanaa at Zero Knowledge Ventures, @assaf_rappaport, Asaf Ezra, Nadir Izrael, Jon Coller, Eyal Manor, @OmerPerchik.
@jaminballRT @Yogi_Brn: The world has identified verifiable AI as a missing civilization-scale primitive. The core technical obstacle, practical zero…
@yonashavIMO this is the most significant AI technical verification result maybe ever. The ability to require attestation of inference straightforwardly unlocks a large range of inference-oversight practices without the need for any new hardware. I’d assumed this was impossible.
@iamtraskBig fan of the usecase. Glad you brought it to my awareness. Do you think they’ll get higher performance than GPU enclaves? My understanding is Azure cloud is going full enclave in the future across all VM types, GCP is making great strides, all the leading NVDA chips support enclaves, GPU enclaves offer single-digit-% performance hit, and you get input privacy too.
@BlancheMinerva@yonashav How carefully have you read the results?
