TLDR

A post relays Sabi's claim that it raised $50 million to build a cap meant to turn intended speech into text. Other posts describe a planned 100,000-sensor cap for communicating with AI agents by thinking. Sabi's team says TSMC fabricated its custom EEG chip, designed to read brain signals without touching the scalp. The team also says it is training a Brain Foundation Model on neural data.

Robert Scoble@ScobleizerA baseball cap with 100,000 sensors, built so you can talk to your AI agents just by thinking. Khosla, Accel, Initialized, DST and Kevin Weil just put $50M behind @sabi. Most brain interfaces so far have needed gel, wires or surgery. This one is supposed to work under a hat. What's the first thing you'd ask your agent without saying a word?2h
Chubby♨️@kimmonismusSabi says it has raised $50M to build a cap that turns intended speech into text. The team says TSMC fabricated its custom EEG chip, designed to read brain signals without touching the scalp. It is also training its own Brain Foundation Model on neural data. The goal: think a request and send it to an AI agent, without typing, speaking or an implant. Interesting use case, congrats on that.2h
elvis@omarsar0This is a big deal. Sabi just raised $50M to build a brain-AI interface you wear as a cap, outfitted with 100,000 sensors, that will enable people to talk to their AI agents just by thinking. I did some BCI research during my PhD, but the tech wasn't that great. It's great to see investment in improving the hardware, since current AI can unlock interesting research and personal agentic applications.2h
Rohan Paul@rohanpaul_aiSabi has raised a $50M seed round to build a baseball cap that turns brain signals into prompts for AI models. That cap can hold up to 100,000 sensors of 1 to 5 millimeters each, feeding a brain foundation model trained on 100,000 hours of labeled neural recordings and Sabi says this cap can predict your next 3-4 keystrokes from brain signals, before you type them. Sabi designed its own EEG chip, and TSMC fabricated it as the first chip purpose-built for consumer brain-computer interfaces. Vinod Khosla led the round with Accel, DST Global, Initialized Capital and former OpenAI product chief Kevin Weil, at a reported $600M valuation.1h
Santiago@svpino$50 million to create a brain interface that turns brain signals into text. Apparently, they already have a TSMC-fabricated chip that reads signals without touching the scalp. Custom sensors collect the data, and its own AI model decodes it. This is just a cap you can wear, not an implant.1h
Sarah Chieng@MilksandMatchaThe neuralink demo a few weeks ago literally blew my mind and now there’s a non invasive version is just so heartwarming !!20m
