Announcement
Cursor SDK agents can now be steered while they run
Cursor says run.steer() adds a message to the next turn, while a mid-task subagent keeps working in the background.
TLDR
Cursor says run.steer() lets users steer its SDK agents during a run by adding a message to the next turn. A mid-task subagent moves to the background and keeps working. Cursor also says subagent results return to the parent as a follow-up turn on the same run, with stream() and wait() continuing until every subagent finishes.
