Genie’s planned encryption update would limit access to what each job needs

The announcement thread describes Nautilo organizing conversations into layers of decisions, reasons, relationships, disagreements and ideas. It says Genie can retrieve original evidence when needed and remember why a choice was made, which alternatives were rejected and what changed later.

The thread promises end-to-end encryption in the first service pack. Under the described design, a device would grant Genie narrow, time-limited access, with authority rechecked for every protected operation. Access would end when the work, time or permission ends, with no permanent master key or server given blanket access to everything.
